About

Black and white portrait of Hans Schnorf with short dark hair, light facial stubble, and wearing a shirt and scarf

The Artist

For over five decades, Hans Schnorf has cultivated a quiet, deliberate practice grounded in clarity and restraint. Working from Zurich, he has developed a visual language that privileges presence over gesture, a painting practice that is at once minimal and resonant.

The Presence

Hans Schnorf’s paintings do not demand attention; they offer it. They do not explain; they observe. Each work listens to the room, measures time, and quietly alters space.
